Paul M. Rivard, ESQ

Executive Vice President and General Counsel

Paul Rivard has served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel for MyMD Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: MYMD) since 2020. Prior to joining MyMD, Mr. Rivard was in the private practice of law for more than 20 years at Banner Witcoff, a national intellectual property law firm, based in its Washington, DC office. There he represented clients ranging from startups to Fortune 100 companies in the life sciences, chemical and consumer product industries. He worked closely with client executives to align intellectual property procurement, enforcement and licensing strategies with business objectives. He also chaired firm committees, where he was instrumental in developing procedures for mitigating risk and improving efficiencies and profitability. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Rivard served as a patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Mr. Rivard earned a J.D. cum laude from the Catholic University of America in 1998 and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University in 1992. He is admitted to the bar in Florida, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
